Home Sweet Home

Sooo...Ian and I are trying to stay in our house here as long as we can in order to save up and get ready to move to a nicer house in the future. This is the perfect place for Bruiser to grow up (minus the neighbor) because of the big yard, the landlord basically let's us do whatever we want (in return, he doesn't do anything we want), band practice is usually allowable (unless the neighbor comes out of her cave and says otherwise).
So in order for me not to go insane, I am completely re-arranging the house to utilize the space. So far it's done wonders. :) It's almost like moving into a new house!

Spooky is becoming a much better indoor cat. She rarely tries to escape anymore, and I bought her a great new toy for Christmas that has occupied most of her time since. She is really really good at adjusting. When I first got her, she was ferrel, then she became a domesticated indoor cat, then an outdoor cat, then a jailed cat...and now back to inside (for now). She is such a good cat.

The UPS woman asked Ian yesterday if it ever bothered us living next to the graveyard...and he said obviously not because this is the happiest he has been in his life. This place is falling apart at the seams (and railings...) and it's dirt cheap ($685 a month for a HOUSE with a HUGE fenced in yard, basement, garage and laundry machines don't think you could EVER beat that), but it is our first home together and that is really really special. And that's exactly what it is...not a house, but a home.
